Test Fire

Test Firing-4243

Making practice of our experiences…most things improve with repetition and practice. The more we experience something, the more we come to know it…how it appears, how it behaves, how we interact…Most of the time, our practice is a means of learning from our mistakes and misunderstandings…There are other times where a practice run proves to be a personal best and, because we are in a practice mode, we learn from it and improve our odds of replicating that “best.” There are other times when we are surprised by what we accidentally learn. This morning’s test firing, a practice shot without aim or any purpose other than to test the light, inadvertently captured a feeling and told the story of a morning hike. If we’re paying attention, we can learn a lot from a little practice. Crozet, Virginia.
